We invoice by the minute.
It's a flat rate and it's rounded up to the nearest minute.
For e.g.: If you've given us 48.23 minutes, we'd invoice you
for 48 minutes; and if it is 53.45 minutes, we'd invoice you for 54
minutes.
We
do not differentiate between a one-speaker call and multi-speaker
calls when it comes to pricing There is only so much that can
be spoken in a minute, and our job is to convert the audio into
text. However, if the speakers
don't identify themselves, our best efforts will still not be good
enough to give you an accurate transcript.
A transcript which has
one-hour or less of audio, will be returned within 48 hours or such
extended period as agreed upon. For larger projects, turnaround
can be worked around the clients requirements. If you
have a special need, let us know about it, we'll try to give your
our best, at no extra cost.
We do not believe in
having a differential pricing for a speedier transcript. If we
have spare capacity or we could manage our workflow in a way
that we can give you a faster transcript, let us do it for you at no
extra cost.
If we are loaded, we won't be able to give you a speedier turnaround even at a
premium.
Payment is due on receipt
of invoice. For larger projects, payments are requested to be
made transcript wise. That is, we'd appreciate if we receive
payment for each transcript as and when you receive them.
We wouldn't prefer receiving payments in bulk.
If the audio is bad, we'd
prefer not to do it. However, we will take a look at it, try,
and then take a decision as to whether the transcript would serve
its purpose. If we feel the
essence of the transcript cannot be captured, we'd like to take
your advice on what we should do about it.
Sometimes, audio is
recorded without keeping in mind that a transcriptionist will be
working with it. As a result, people are speaking in overlapping
tones, muffled voices, and in a very casual manner. We've
noticed our quality on such work to be not very good, in so much as
it doesn't capture the essence of the proceedings. If you
really need the transcript anyway, we'll try to get the most sense
made out of it, but we'd prefer if you approve of the ten-minute
trial.
If you have a problem with
our transcription with regard to quality, we'd insist you go through
our evaluation module and let us evaluate our transcript for you.
If the transcript is not above 95% accurate with regard to standard
punctuation, word-for-word transcription, and general avoidable
errors, the transcript is free. We make our best efforts to
get industry specific terminology and Proper Nouns right; however,
that is not taken into account while calculating accuracy of the
transcript.
